The Antholz mascots are renown for their spirit and their fooling around: a real attraction in the stadium. "Bumsi", the name of the Antholz mascot has not been invented without a reason (like some might think). No, the name „Bumsi“ has a reasonable origin: as biathlon consists in cross-country skiing and shooting, and as the sound of skiing can hardly be reproduced by human speech, but the sound of shots can („Bum – Bum – Bum“), this „Bum – Bum – Bum“ was turned into the name „Bumsi“.
