The annual ski marathon “Gsiesertal Lauf” has been taking place in Valle di Casies for 36 years. Since the first edition in 1984, this sporting event with a total of 66,038 finishers has become one of the best-known and most popular races in the whole of the Alpine region. Athletes from over 40 nations gather at the start, ready to conquer the distances of 30 km and 42 km in classic or skating style. In 2020, the 37th edition of the Gsiesertal Lauf will take place on 15-16 February.
