12.02.2021 - IBU announces competition calendar 2022-2026: Antholz confirmed until 2026
he IBU Executive Board (EB) today met in Bled, Slovenia during the IBU Biathlon World Championships to discuss a number of key subjects including upcoming competition calendars.
During the meeting, the EB agreed the allocation of the BMW IBU World Cup biathlon hosts for the 2022-2026 calendar as well as the allocation of the IBU Cups, Open European Championships, Junior Cups and the Youth and Junior World Championships for 2022-2024.
Antholz confirmed in the Wold Cup until 2026!
At the meeting it was confirmed that Antholz will host the annual World Cup also in the coming 2022-2025 World Cup cycle, before the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in the discipline of biathlon are held in there.
As usual, the event in the 5-time World Championship venue will be the sixth stop of the World Cup series and will take place in January each year.
