The Scandinavians won the 4x6 km relay ahead of Norway and France thanks to a strong performance and a bit of luck in the final meters.

On the last day of competition in Antholz, the spectators saw a high-class, exciting team competition that was only decided in the final round. Sweden's Hanna Öberg and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold fought an exciting neck-and-neck race until the last uphill in the Südtirol Arena. But then Öberg and Tandrevold crossed skis, the Norwegian crashed and the Swede's victory was wrapped up. Tandrevold got up and finally crossed the finish line 13.4 seconds behind Sweden. Too bad, because this duel would certainly have been decided on the home straight. Third place, 23.6 seconds behind, went to France. For the Swedes, who only needed spares six times in total, this is their second relay gold in the fourth World Cup competition this winter after Kontiolahti.

The biathletes from Switzerland came fourth, but they were already more than two minutes behind. The “Azzurre” turned in a solid performance. Starting skier Hannah Auchentaller from Antholz handed over to Dorothea Wierer in third place after just one spare. The athlete from Niederrasen shot fast, but needed four spares and slipped back to fourth place. Samuela Comola, on the other hand, had to go into the penalty loop once, but in the end Italy still finished in a good fifth place.

The 2025 Biathlon World Cup in Antholz will conclude at 2:45 pm with the men's pursuit race. From a South Tyrolean perspective, all eyes will be on Lukas Hofer from Montal.
