For the grand finale, the 30 elite men and women athletes will once again compete on a course of 12.5 km and 15 km. Who is capable of withstanding the psychic and physical stresses and remaining concentrated will become evident on 23 February 2020. Meanwhile, why not imagine who your personal favourite are?
Women’s and Men’s Mass Start
The 30 world bests athletes start simultaneously and compete over a course of 12.5 km for women, 15 km for men. The four shooting range stages follow the same pattern as the pursuit with the first two in the prone position and the last two in standing. Each missed target corresponds to a penalty loop of 150m. The winner of the mass start is whomever crosses the finish line first.
