Men's Mass Start

At the mass start, the best 30 biathletes so far give it once again all they’ve got and compete for a top position in the overall ranking.

In this mass start, the shared start and the varied shooting will ensure a fitting conclusion to the World Cup. For the grand finale, the 30 elite men and women athletes will once again compete on a course of 15 km. This discipline also offers a last chance for biathletes to move towards the front. You can't get more adrenalin!
Men's Mass Start
The 30 world bests athletes start simultaneously and compete over a course of 12.5 km for women, 15 km for men. The four shooting range stages follow the same pattern as the pursuit with the first two in the prone position and the last two in standing. Each missed target corresponds to a penalty loop of 150m. The winner of the mass start is whomever crosses the finish line first.
